[Boatanchors] AM bandwidth

Contemplating the Wouff Hong, it appears that the historic drive for better 
quality signals has swung AM - like a pendulum - quite a bit to the other ( 
extreme? ) side.

Has anyone in Boatanchorland documented - by measurement - any of the 
HiFi-like audio stations having bandwidth more than say 6,000 or 9,000 wide?

Also...how many of these HiFi stations are there?..are these the E-class 
rigs?

Lastly, what other pursuits can these technically inclined AM Hams subscribe 
to in expressing their energies within our hobby?
