Not sure about the coil etc. but if it is like a tank coil assembly solder
lugs were
used years ago for taps. The screw hole of the solder lug was bent around
the wire
of the coil and then soldered in place. The other end had a wire attached
and soldered
that went to the bandswitch or whatever. It actually makes a pretty clean
looking
arrangement.

They're made out of bronze and sure enough, they're $250 a throw. The
other thing you might be talking about are the narrow clamps for tapping
a piece of Air-Dux, but why would you want to tap a coil at several
hundred places?
