Todd, KA1KAQ, speaks the truth, especially this part:  "Nice 
construction, but not meant to be
serviced by the weak of heart."  For instance the complex 40 and 
37.5MHz  LC filters in the Wadley section often need attention, and this 
is tough to do without sophisticated test equipment.  They've often been 
misaligned by unqualified repairmen.

Go for it! Could be a character-building experience.
