And further to that, there are very obvious differences between Bristol and
Torx drivers and headed fasteners. Torx (which came out several decades after
the KWM-2) has approximately triangular splines. Bristol has rectangular
ones, although the four-flute screws and drivers may have slightly rounded corners
at the minor diameter, due to the very small size of the four-flute units.
Also, with Bristol, there is a discernable gap between the splines at the minor
diameter. With Torx there isn't.
Also, although I haven't bought a new edition of Machinery's Handbook in
several years and Torx isn't mentioned in the 21st Edition, the smallest Torx
driver that I have or have ever seen is a T10, which is 6-flute.
