Mouser has an excellent microphone cartridge that is
about the size you are needing. Part number 25LM022
and costs $3.52 in single quantities.

Website: http://www.mouser.com

I use this cartridge in one of my microphones that I
use with my Collins S-Lines, Heath SB-401, and Heath
SB-110A. I get as good as, and even better than,
reports from a D-104 with one of the last replacement
cartridges that came from Astatic before discontinuing
the D-104.

I have a rather nice Knight KN-4515 microphone with a
non-working element. I've read that this mic is
similar to a Turner SSB+2. The element is about 1 7/8"
(48mm) in dia. and about 1/4" (7mm) thick not
including the dome portion.
