[Boatanchors] Heath QF-1 variable bandpass modification

For the various people who have been asking where the
variable bandpass modification for the Heathkit QF-1
can be found:

Page 28 of the Sixth Edition of the ARRL Hints & Kinks
For the Radio Amateur book, copyright 1959.  The total
parts needed for the conversion is a 2 inch length of
hookup wire.

There is no schematic given, just a "step by step"
procedure to follow.  My edition of this version of
Hints & Kinks still has the "check marks" from when I
did this modification to my original QF-1 back in late
1959 or early 1960.

Remember that the ARRL is VERY protective of their
copyrights so I would get permission from the ARRL
before asking anyone to make a copy of the page for
you.  They probably will give permission, but one
needs to check just to be sure because they have
gotten very upset in the past when someone copied
their material without permission.
