[Boatanchors] Yanking wires

Yanking on wires is sometimes productive, as well.
Several years ago a friend bought an Eico sterio amplifier with an
intermitant problem which seemed to be related to where it was placed on his
shelves.
He brought it over and I took a good number of looks over a several day
period. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. Again, seemed to be
related to where it was placed on my bench.
Finally started pulling on wires, while it was powered-up. Someone had
replaced the line-cord, and used overly large crimp connectors to attach it
to the remains of the wires in the chassis.
I did not have to hear the unit go off when I pulled on the line-cord, since
one of the wires just pulled right out of the connector.
Wire cutters and solder fixed the problem. Sure spent a lot of time on it,
though.
