Fellows,

The 6189 is a very quite very good RF amp tube good to at least 35MHZ.
it is a 12AU7 is "similar" to 5814A. The 6189 will work for either of these 
tubes.

If you happen upon some 6189's at a good price new of used. pick them up if 
you have a use for the 12AU7 or 5814 in any of your equipment.

Been there done that, and 6189 do work well.
