Actually, the NCX-5 was the 5 band version of the
NCX-3. The NC-200 came out a couple of years after
the NCX-5 and was priced a fair amount cheaper than
the NCX-5.
The NCX-5 has 2 rocker switches on the lower right
hand side of the panel and the NC-200 has 1. Also,
the NCX-5 uses a "normal" type of meter whereas the
NC-200 used an "edgewise" type of meter.
>From what I can find out, the NC-200 was basically the
same as the NCX-5 but manufactured cheaper.

I have a National 200 transceiver, which is the 5 band
version of the NCX-3 (It was not called NCX-200...)
and it's fairly similar in circuitry.
