Hi Jack,

Might it be an RME-70?  Things start turning gray in RME QST 
adds in about June '39.  They're pretty non-committal about 
receivers until the 70 shows up in October.

It's very similar to the 69, but has trim bars on the front 
panel, labeled controls, and a semi-circular S-meter.
