[Boatanchors] capacitor kits?

Thanks, JeRB. Just good to have another opinion. 

If I were to stock up on a limited number of "types" of caps, I know one would be electrolytics. What would the other be? Could I use ceramic discs in a majority of other applications? Or would I be better off one of the other dozens of types of capacitors? Can one type be "generally" used for many applications? Or, perhaps I might need 3 basic types to cover most of my bases.  Keep in mind, I will mostly do HF, VHF type radio work. Other stuff as well, but who knows.
