[Boatanchors] Results of "Help. I need a piece of bakelite"

A big thank you to all who responded to my plea.

As a result of your collective suggestions, I went to "Plastic Depot" in 
Burbank, CA and purchased a piece of black acrylic plastic the exact size I 
needed.  I was able to cut and drill the acrylic to duplicate the original, cracked, 
bakelite (I was repairing a 30's vintage Instructograph).

Though the acrylic had a much more "mirrored" finish than the original 
bakelite, a quick brushing with 0000 steel wool dulled it so that the finished piece 
looked almost indistinguishable from the original.
