[Boatanchors] Command set had a better idea

A week or two ago we were wondering about a command set transmitter on eBay 
that had a large light bulb on top.  I speculated that perhaps it was meant as 
a series resistance to allow the 28v filament string to be connected to the 
household AC.  Sure enough, today I read a little conversion tip in a late-40s 
CQ Magazine that suggested exactly that!
