Here's what I used...

1 -  AC distribution panel ground/neutral bar.
2 -  1" brass "L" brackets w/ woodscrews
2 - 1/4" x 20 bolts
3 - 1/4" x 20 nuts
2 - 1/4" washers
1 -  Preroutered wooden base intended for part of stair or deck railings
1 -  Spring from the single-serving specialty hardware bins
3 -  #6 Sheet metal screws for spring, contact, and strike on the wood.
1 - Wooden or plastic cabinet knob if desired 
(Too bad those kind of knobs aren't on the drawers here in the hotel!  I'll 
look for a nice one at the store tomorrow).
