To All,

I've been using a Sprague TO-6 to restore a Johnson Viking 500 and a R-390A
these last several months. Best piece of test equipment in the shop. Its
proven the BBOD's are really reliable, worn out and out of spec. In the same
breath, they served their country well.

Craig,

I often use a TO-6 to check caps, especially those that I wish to check
under high voltage.

I find the unit to be quite accurate relative to marked values. I've
checked the device against a good number of new caps in a variety of values.

Sometime recently (I don't think it was on this list) someone said that the
old high-voltage cap checkers were a poor choice.

What is the opinion here of such units?

Thanks, Barrie, W7ALW
