Hi Joe,

An interesting question that sent me to my 1989 Jane's
Military Communications. No, nothing in particular. As
someone pointed out the Navy had a bunch of R-1051's, but a
lot of the action there and in the Army and Air Force moved
to transceivers, a la the AN/GRC-106, the replacement for
the R-392/T-195 pair. (VRC-10?)

What receiver requirement's there were were filled with a
variety of sets. Ground-Based communications from Jane's:

AN/FRR-60 and AN/FRR-74 rack-mount monsters from TMC.
AN/URR-74 WJ-8718
Harris RF-590A and predecessors

Plus, from memory Various Racals, Collins's, HRO-500's etc.

A lot of good sets, but I don't think anything rivaled the
R-390/390A in numbers.

73,
Al
