[Boatanchors] Number of amateur radio operators in the United States

I am confused!! The number I sent was from QRZ.  I used 665,000 Hams and 
296,000,000 to get my
0.224% population are hams.  Must have a typo as am 2 finger typist.  The 
figures I had were 664,905 Hams and 296.676,056 people.
