Hello All,
The final evolution of the 20th century tube tester,
was the semi-automatic card-programable model. You
put the tube in the socket, selected the correct punch
card, put it in the machine, and pressed the test button.
Now, let's bring this concept into the 21st century:
The 21st century tube tester is solid state. It has an
LCD display. All tube test data is on an EPROM. You
put the tube in the socket, enter the tube type on a
keypad, and press the test button.
Other thoughts:
Automatic compensation for varying line voltage.
B.I.T.E. to check on calibration.
Accessory connector for additional sockets, or future expandability.
Optional Printer port.
Optional battery power for portability.
What do you think?
