[Boatanchors] John Invader 2000 HV Plug/Jack

I asked this question about a year ago and didn't get a definitive response,
and I never posted some pix like I was asked to, so....
The Invader 2K is almost done, but I still need to make the HV cable.
Here's the photos of what the plug on the power supply, and jack on the
xmtr, look like:

The width of the plug's center conductor is about 1/8 inch diameter.
There is no description in the Invader manual as to the kind of plug/jack
they are.
I was thinking of replacing both with a more robust kind of plug/jack
combination, preferably one that had a locking screw or tab of some kind
that is round. I've looked through the common catalogs, but can't find
anything for HV. The closest is in the Mouser catalog, and that's a single
conductor MIL-STD combination which is expensive!
Any ideas?
