[Boatanchors] Fixing cracks in clear plastic?

When my wallet is a bit "fatter" I may try putting out a want for a
replacement panel from a "parts" unit, IF there are any out there that
aren't cracked. The two screw holes behind the knobs are countersunk,
so just tightening the screws down too much could certainly cause stress
cracks! At this point I almost think that any attempts to repair
'might' make the cracks more noticeable, and the set is otherwise too
nice to mess up (even if it was a 'cheap' radio when new).
