LORAN A is long gone. LORAN C is current and still in very active use both for
time/frequency and navigation. It's life has recently been extended.

I suspect your Rx is micro based. Typically you enter the Group Repetition
Interval (GRI) of the chain of interest and it will lock up. (North East Coast
USA 99600) You also typically have to enter a rough starting position to assist
the uP solve for Lat/Long. If the thing is anything like current, it'll yield
fixes good to better than 100 ft. If it only reads out time differences, you'll
need a LORAN chart, available at marine supply houses. I am not familiar with
your particular unit, however.
