[Boatanchors] Some Superior TV-50A questions

Hi,
If I don't find what I need here I may join the "Test Equipment" list, but I
thought I'd pick the brains of Y'all first.
Now that I've got the Eico 378 working and fairly well calibrated (I replaced
two 'Lytics under the chassis) I'm tackling the Superior (??) TV-50A
Genometer.
After I opened the unit I was in for a rude discovery. This unit isn't
anything at all like the TV-50 that is on BAMA. That unit has two tubes plus
tube rectifier, this one has 4 tubes plus selenium rectifier, and the tube
actually used for the RF Oscillator is a 12AT7 rather than 6BE6. I can only
"guess" at what one tube is as the numbers are gone. It kind of looks like
the old 6J6 twin triode.
Another rude discovery is the general deterioration in the unit. All the Wax
capacitors have dripped their "guts" and a couple MicaMolds are split open. I
suspect the two 'Lytic cans will also have to be replaced rather than
reformed. It appears the unit is early to mid '50s vintage.
QUESTION 1: Is this unit worth spending the time and (modest) amount of funds
to recap and restore. It doesn't appear to be a much higher quality signal
generator than the typical Eico and Heathkit signal generators of the period
(no fancy shielding, 50 Ohm attenuators etc).
QUESTION 2: Does anybody have a schematic and "Calibration page" for this
unit that they could scan and email? I "probably" wouldn't need the entire
manual unless there are some "gotchas's".
