Hi Duane and all,

I have one, too. It is called the Wahl "Iso-Tip" Cordless Soldering Iron. It
was made by the same company who makes the clippers. I also have around here
somewhere, the Auto Charger Assembly.

Unfortunately, the batteries in mine gave up the ghost several years ago. I
have been meaning to get some replacements but that is another one of those
things I haven't gotten around to. As I recall, it uses a pair of 'C' cell
nicads. It definately was a great iron for me, but IO have since picked up several
with equally small tips for circuit board work. Yes, they are 110V and that
can be a drawback, so one day, I will fix the Wahl.

I am sure that Wahl probably private branded the unit for Black and Decker so
it is entirely possible that yours came from B & D.

I have seen the unit advertised on TV but haven't had the chance to play with
one yet. I must admit that something that cools quickly is a great idea, but
does it really get hot enough to make OEM type connections? That I will have
to play withone day.

73,

John, W4AWM
