As always, all flavors and cents of vintage gear are welcome - (if it's not
vacuum, HUM and fake it!)
Please join us on Sunday May 16th for the Hallicrafters Collectors International
20 meter Net. Do you know where the term "Flea Market" originated? If not, show
up and learn something as we enlighten you with this piece of historical trivia.
The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC), and the Net proper at
1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). I will be on the air about 12:15 PM EDT, (1615 UTC)
using the electronic antenna whip to get the electrons moving their nuclei in
the right direction. Hopefully up, up and away! Feel free to wander by early for
the splatter chatter session as we try to get all the electrons properly lined
up and marching toward the ionosphere.
The frequency will be 14.293 MHz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
unceremonious honking of horns of every description from the parking lots in
Dayton, Ohio as Hams try to beat each other to the 'exits' to be first in the
traffic jams! The sound of cash changing hands as last moment deals are struck
and the patent medicine venders of instant hernia curatives hawk their wares as
Hams stagger by with a boat anchor clutched against their chest, knees wobbling
and ankles trying for horizontal polarity!
I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so show up and let's talk about those
things that still go glow in the dark!
