[Boatanchors] Selling stuff on this list - suggestion

There never has been a problem for Hams selling their own personal gear on this
list, or any other QTH.NET list that I am aware of. When it becomes a commercial
business selling products, that is a different story. A commercial business
needs to pay for their ads, not exploit these lists to gain free advertising.
These lists are for Ham radio operators and radio hobbyists, not for commercial
businesses, per say.

This is 'NOT' to say that Lynn Brock, N0ALO who does pront panels for his fellow
Hams can not post his wares here, because he can. This is not to say that Gary
Brown in Maine can not list his parts for bintage gear here, as he can. This is
not to say that a Ham making dust covers for his fellow Hams in his spare time
can not post them. But it is to say that a commercial operation such as AES,
Antique Electronic Supply, HRO or any other actual business with a DBA may not
post their products for sale here. That is not what these lists are about, never
has been, never will be. It is for Hams and radio hobbyists to sell his/her
personal gear on or spare parts or used - reproductions of - original manuals,
items they make on the side for their fellow radio hobbyists and so forth.

Alan Waller, K3TKJ, who owns QTH.NET/QSL.NET is very clear about this. If you
have a doubt if it is proper, then write to him and ask him. He makes the
decisions, not list subscribers. Al decides, discussing it here accomplishes
nothing. Write to Al and ask -
