Most everyone currently active in Amateur Radio is concerned about what BPL 
will do to the Amateur radio service in general and certainly to the enjoyment 
of our hobby. I might be wrong but isn't it possible BPL is an interim 
technology and will never really get off the ground? The truth is what everyone 
really wants is a wireless internet connection and when we get that BPL most likely 
won't have a chance. I have heard various providers are working overtime to 
develop the technology that would make it happen. Does anyone in the industry 
know how close we are to a wireless internet now? When this becomes a reality 
why would anyone want BPL?
