It's a single octal socket hook up.
This is the VFO for the Galaxy III and V ssb transceiver. <

From a Galaxy V mk2 manual, these appear to be the connections at the
transceiver chassis (the manual does not actually have a listing of the
pins, this info is from examining the schematic).
pin 1 is connected to the audio output (for non-VFO accessories).
pin 2 is connected to the Upper/Lower Sideband switch.
pin 3 goes to the T/R relay and is grounded on transmit, about 30 volts on
receive.
pin 4 is the transceiver internal VFO disable (jumpered to pin 5 when
external VFO is not being used).
pin 5 is grounded.
pin 6 is grounded on receive, about 150v on transmit.
pin 7 is 350v from power supply.
pin 8 is 12vac for filaments.

From the Gal V mk2 manual there are some warning notes:
"If you have an old Remote VFO having a number lower than 6110 for the
first four digits, write for bulletin on necessary changes before using
(RV1 or RX2)."
and another note:
"All accessory equipment made for the Galaxy III or Galaxy V may be used
int the Galaxy V mk2 except the RV1, RX2 and NOX1, which may be used with
minor wiring change, and the VOX must be the late model VOX35C."
