As always, all flavors and cents of vintage gear are welcome - (If it ain't
vacuum, then lie!)
Be there at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC) for the HCI Sunday 20 meter pre-Net and
then hang around, or simply join us, at 1:15 PM EST, (1815 UTC) for the Net
proper. Let's see how many of the fifty states we can get in there today. The
best we ever did was forty-nine. We missed North Dakota.
The frequency, like it ever changes? Is 14.293 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike
splatter and the sound of things knocking like piston rods in a gas powered four
cycle engine that somebody forgot to put more oil in! But it is not that you
hear, it is my knees! It is ten below zero here, actual, no wind chill factor.
It is so cold the wind is frozen! The brirds are wearing beak warmers. The
people at McDonald's in the take out window are wearing bun warmers. It is so
cold that if you spit it freezes and hangs like an icicle off your lip. It is so
cold that when I opened the chest freezer I found a snowman in there trying to
get warm!
I hope to hear a lot of you in several hours, so be there and think warm
thoughts!
