With the Winter Es season going you can expect 6 to open from time to time
for the next couple
weeks. We often get very strong openings on 6 AND 2 meters this time of
year. I have worked
the West Coast on 2 meters on New Years Eve night in the past. Anyway 10
will also open on E
skip this time of year. If 6 is open strong Please check around 50.4 for the
AMers there. I have
a Clegg Thor 6 on at the main operating position right now for the season.
While I monitor SSB
with the modern rig I keep the Thor on 50.4. Occasionally making some noise
just in case.
Bottom line is don't forget 6 meters in the Winter for AM contacts with
other vintage AMers.

Didn't listen too much on 15 today. 6 meters was open coast to coast most
of the afternoon so just played sideband radio there. The SSB section of
10 meters showed only little activity.
