>From Joe in Okla.w5jdy.   Hello all members of the various reflectors...   I
am  working on some Very Old Power Transformers and Filter Chokes(mostly
changing bad wire leads and testing and rating them).  I know,some Chokes
are Swinging and others are Smoothing.  Smoothing Chokes can be tested for
inductance with an Inductance Bridge  My question is:  This Swinging  Choke
I have measures 15hy on my Inductance Bridge but the paper tag tied on it
says 5hy.  This tag was written by someone else and there is no way to tell
for sure if its right..How do you test a Swinging Choke for Inductance??
