I've been reading the mail and a desoldering "iron" sounds like a good 
idea, so the next question is what one?  It's new territory for me.  I 
notice the Hakko 808 has been mentioned, and Fry's lists it in their mail 
order site http://shop3.outpost.com/product/2760813#detailed . If you 
needed to purchase another unit, would the 808 be your choice?

Sorry if I seem to be asking the same question but there's quite a few 
dollars involved.
