When it comes to LC meters I would not hesitate recommending the one from
Almost All Digital Electronics (AADE). It's small, battery powered, works
very well, it's accurate, and will read very small capacitances and
inductances. Use a readily available $10-$15 DVM for the resistance and
voltage measurements.

Subject: [Boatanchors] lcr meter question

I really appreciate all the support you guys are giving me. Did a search
on lcr meters and found a wide variety. Even went to Tucker and just
about fell out of my chair. In a nutshell: If you were going to buy an
lcr meter what would you buy and why.
Another stupid question: Given that I am going to restore a few
recievers, what functions would be necessary, what ones desirable, what
ones just window dressing, vis a vis an lcr meter.
I am grateful for your patience.
Norm
