One other good VTVM that I don't think I've seen anyone mention but that 
meets your stated requirements is the military ME-26*/U.  It came in four models, 
ME-26A/U, B/U, C/U and D/U.  They probably have a cross-ref to a civilian 
model but if I ever heard anyone say what it is, I failed to record it in my 
database.  

I have an ME-26D/U on the "test equipment wall" behind my workbench and it 
works quite well.  Same comments as have already been made apply to the AC 
function.
