Hi All,
The owner picked up his overhauled R-100/URR today and dropped off a
BC-1004 for a re-cap and general servicing.  It looks like an interesting
old radio, the power supply is nearly as big as the receiver and is
considerably heavier!  It must have been made when the price of iron was
down ;-)  This is NOT the set you'd want to use as a backpack rig for
field day.

For some reason somebody made a socket adapter and replaced the HFO VT-90
tube (Pentode?) with a 6C4 7 pinner.  Not sure why that was done, but it
looks like it won't be too hard to reverse it.

Any "Gotcha's" on this set?
