As I posted "off list" to you earlier, my vote would be for the S-Line 
from Collins.  I have a HW-101 and a Swan 260 and an ICOM 725 (need to 
get a modern rig in there for comparison) and once the S-Line was up and 
running I have not turned on any of the others again.  Yes, the S-Line 
is a bugger to tune up when compared to an "automatic" rice box, but 
when I set the two side by side, none of my other rigs can hold a candle 
to the S-Line.  Now, I hasten to add, I may not have the other rigs 
tuned up as well because they just dont have the visual appeal to keep 
me interested, BUT, the ICOM is surely tuned up as well as it takes 
nothing on my part to get there and the tuner is automatic.
