When they are in series the current is the same.  It
is when they are in parallel that current problems
happen.

The problem that can happen if you put some power
supplies in series is that the chassis ground is also
the ground (or negative) for the output.  If you
connect two power supplies in series, then one of them
is going to be shorted out since the positive terminal
is going to be connected to the negative terminal of
the other supply which, in turn, is connected through
the 3-wire plug back to the first supply.

You have to make sure that the negative terminal of
the supplies is not connected to the 3rd, or "ground"
wire, of the 3-wire AC plug.
