Two Astrons would be considerable overkill for the '392.
Years ago, I got a 28 volt power supply (free!) from a copier repair shop.
I think it came out of a Zerox.
It's probably a switching supply, but I can hear no hash in the '392, nor on
any other nearby radio. It's in a perforated metal box. Since it works FB,
I've never opened it up.
Just a thought.
