The MU-1 is a nice radio, interesting design. There are some differences 
between models,  though. Binocular coils and chain drive tuning are the 
features to check.

Sounds like it's in fair-to-good condition overall? Even in top shape, 
they're only worth perhaps half the price of the 30L-1. I see them often 
for under $300, usually $250 or less. Unless it's a museum piece with 
some history behind it, don't trade a 30L-1 for it. Sell the amp, offer 
a fair price for the radio, and pocket the difference unless you have an 
unlimited number of these fine old amps or are just feeling overly 
generous.  (o:
