Hi Bill,

My memory isn't too good, but back in WW II we had automatic equipment which 
send code from pre-punched paper tapes. If I remember correctly they could go 
to 110 WPM.

We also had tape readers that could read it at a high speed. Perhaps this 
will jog a better memory than mine.
