Don't forget the Hallicrafters SX-62 with the R-42 Reproducer. Great audio from
the push/pull circuit with nice bass enhancement via the tuned cabinet. The FM
sounds terrific, even by today's standards.

I love a good SP-600 with an outboard Torrestronics frequency read-out and a
great big speaker. They even used to sell the SP-600 with an optional
wooden floor model console cabinet for early hi-fi guys.
Where did that thing get it's sound? Didn't it just have a single ended
6V6GTA?
Also, though I've never had one, what about an SX-28 or 28A?
