I suppose we all know something about World Radio Labs of Council Bluffs,=
Iowa, and Leo Meyerson's contributions to shortwave and ham radio. Readin=
g
through a collection of QSTs I bought, it seems that before WWII his
business was called Wholesale Radio Laboratories. I also saw that in 1942=
he set up another business, just down the street by the address, called
Scientific Radio Products Company "manufacturing piezo electric crystals
and associated equipment." They were producing freq control crystals for
the war effort and in one ad noted that they had produced more crystals i=
n
a 4-month period than the entire US annual output "of a couple of years
ago". Wonder if anyone knows more about the history behind his businesses=
?
