[Boatanchors] Re Happy Halli-Ween Special Event

Hi All, 	
	
How many of you would find it easier to participate with your children, original
issue or on loand, if the W9WZE Happy Halli-Ween special event were held on
Saturday October 26th, instead of Wednesday October 30th? The time on Saturday
will be the same as for the HCI 40 meter Net, but continue on until 5:00 PM.
Hence, from 1:00-5:00 PM on 7.280 Mhz lsb.	
	
Those who check in will receive three items: 	
	
1. Special W9WZE QSL card for Halligan's Hallicrafters (the FCC registered and
licensed club name). Keep in mind, that the W9WZE call is the original call of
Hallicrafters founder William Halligan, Sr. I am the Trustee of said call.   	
	
2. Full color 8.5X11 custom drawn Happi Halli-Ween certificate personalized with
the person's name, call sign (if applicable), date and issue number.     		
	
3. QSL card from W8DBF (Duane Fischer) with full data. This is the full color
photo quality card I used for magic public relations with the Amateur Radio
information on the reverse. 	
	
The cost will be $2 to cover special envelope, postage and labels. Each check in
MUST supply a ready to use return address label and $2, nothing else. I do not
want stamps or SASE! The certificate will be ruined if folded.   		
	
The check in may supply a QSL card of their own for Duane Fischer, W8DBF, or
W9WZE Happy Halli-Ween, if desired. But not required!    	
	
I am thinking that forty meters in the afternoon may allow many more to
participate than twenty meters in the evening. I would greatly appreciate your
thoughts on this, as well as suggestions, volunteers to assist with relay work
and your participation. We are doing this for the kids, be they one year old or
one hundred years old. As long as they are Hallicrafters kids, age is not
important.  	
	
Let's make final plans and spread the word among the entire vintage radio
community. The more, the merrier!
