[Boatanchors] SR-150 Hallicrafters Transceiver

A question from Joe w5jdy in Okla. I have just purchased a SR-150 =
Hallicrafters
Transceiver. The original output tubes 12DQ6s and octal sockets have =
been changed to compactron sockets and 6HF5 tubes.Is this good or for =
best results should they=20
be changed back to what the original schematic shows (12DQ6s).?   Any =
input on=20
this transceiver will be useful.  Thanks and Happy Boat =
