The most basic method is static matching.
This simply requires that the resting plate currents be equal with the SAME
bias applied.
Dynamic balancing requires applying a signal and matching peak plate
currents with again, the same bias.

Most ham amp tubes are static balanced which gives some assurance that both
tubes are equally sharing the load.
Some of the way out audiophiles get deep into the dynamic stuff.

The 3-500Z usually doesnt require matching since its impossible to exceed
grid ratings with 100W drive. Tuned up properly that is!
