Hi,
Name here is Rusty. I have a 1945 Military General Coverage Receiver. It
is AC/DC and has developed a flaw. The Second Det/Audio tube is a triode
1LH4.
When the tube is pulled and put back in, the radio plays great for 1 to 2
seconds and then drops out. The coupling capacitor from the previous stage
seems ok and the cap on the plate also seems ok.
Where else would be the most obvious place to look? There are big resistors
in series with the filaments that seem to run hot. Is that normal, or does
that indicate too much current demanded by the filaments?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.
Sincerely,
