I have no data on this device but you might want to look at the
following paper that talks about thyratron replacement by solid-state
devices. I suspect you unit is little more than a large silicon
controlled rectifier, but for replacement of really high voltage, very
fast switching thyratrons in radar and accelerator applications, you
might wish to look at the following paper:
