Subject: [Boatanchors] List Changes

Hi Gangue,

Nobody likes change! Especially when we have to try something new or
different!

NOBODY LIKES CHANGE (caps and raising voice a level)

BUT the fact remains the deed is done, and it would appear it HAD to
be done and done in a hurry from Duane's latest posting. Me? I'm a
major lurker, with an occasional foray into the arena, but it gets me
hard when the good guys like Duane who do the work, get the hassle
from those who would say

"Sorry, I'm too busy to take that on"

If they are asked to:-

help
contribute time
contribute effort
give out info
actually do something to benefit the (insert whatever) as a whole.

I see this almost daily in the organisations I belong to, The same
six or seven people do all or most of the work, and lots of others
sit on the bench and talk it up a lot. And, I notice for example that
the Chairman of one of my County (UK) Caravanning Groups is also on
the board of Age Concern Charity for his area, serves on the
Children's Advisory Panel (looking after and protecting minors and
delinquency) and also is an Elder in his local Church. So often if
you want a job done, you should ask a busy person.

Soapbox mode ending:- Live a little guys, try the new structure, sure
you may find some things don't work any more, BUT DELVE a bit and I'm
sure you'll find some things that you couldn't do before that you
always wanted to do!

"You only get out of anything what you put in!"

"Don't shoot the pianist, he's doing his best!"

Regards (sorry Duane if this is a bit draggy onny)

Mel
