[Boatanchors] What is a 1630 tube?

Hi,

  I picked up an RCA 1630 tube this weekend at a surplus store. It's 
a large acorn style tube. I bought it just for fun. After tearing through 
all of my docs, I can't find mention of this type number. Anyone 
have anything on it? Oh, it also says VT-128 if that helps. I don't 
know why I find tubes fascinating. Maybe its because I can see its 
functional parts without a microscope...
