 Mine has this as well, and it appears someone replaced (or placed) a
transformer inside, which required the board to be hollowed out a bit to fit. It
doesn't appear to be stock since they cut openings in the bottom of the
three-tube island as well. I guess they just wanted it to work again. No visual
changes on top other than an extra wire or two between terminals. One of these
days I'll find time to figure it out. I'd love to get it going again, need to
get in touch with Alex still to get an idea of the battery eliminator he made
for his.
