[BARC-List] Fwd: Birthplace of Samuel F. B.Morse , Charlestown MA

      Did you know that Samuel Morse is actually a local boy?

      He was born in Charlestown on April 27, 1791, in what is known
as the Edes house.  It is at 203 Main street, at the foot of Breed's
hill (That's where the Bunker Hill Monument stands. Yes, the house is
still standing, and many people make the pilgrimage to the location
for a visit.  He gave up painting for Telegraphy. 

     Have any of you brass pounders been there? Would you be
interested to see where it all started?
